Welcome!

We aim to understand how and why brains forget. We ask how forgetting processes contribute functionally to everyday memory and cognition, and how dysregulated forgetting participates in neurodevelopmental disorders and neuropathology, such as Alzheimer's disease, PTSD, clinical depression. The majority of our work addresses these questions in non-human animals, but we also conduct research with humans.

The sidebar leads you to main findings, projects, and methods, contact information and vacancies. There is also an Outreach section, where central questions about forgetting are discussed for non-specialists.

We are currently located at McGill University, in Montréal, Québec. Previously, we were at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
